1. Notes on changes and improvements made to Monster Truck Madness 2 when you
install the patch
================================================================================
The following changes and improvements are made to Monster Truck Madness 2 when you
install the patch:

Improved force feedback support.
If you are using a force feedback controller with Monster Truck Madness 2, you will notice stronger force feedback responses and an increased number of areas and objects that trigger force feedback responses within the game after you install the patch.

New version number after patch is installed.
Once the patch has been installed, the product version number changes to 2.00.42. You can confirm that the patch has been installed by checking the product version number. To do so, choose the About Monster Truck Madness command on the Help menu.

Custom changes to transfer gear ratio settings are erased.
If you have modified the transfer gear ratio setting (Garage screen) to allow transfer gear settings that are outside the range available in Monster Truck Madness 2, your transfer gear setting will automatically be reset to a setting that is within the parameters allowed in the game.

Multiplayer changes.

Message is displayed when not all multiplayer participants have installed the patch.
If any of the participants in a multiplayer racing session has not installed the patch, the following message is displayed to all participants in the Messages box on the Multiplayer screen: " is using a newer version of Monster Truck Madness 2. For best results, all players should use the same version." All participants in a multiplayer racing session should install the patch before starting the game.

Message is displayed when a multiplayer participant is using a modified version
of the current track.
If one of the participants in a multiplayer racing session is using a modified version of the current track, the following message is displayed to all participants: " has a different version of . Everyone should use the same version to ensure fair play." Participants using modified versions of the track may have an unfair advantage (and faster lap times!) if they have changed the track to make it shorter or easier to navigate.

Ability to initiate a multiplayer session by launching a command line.
When you initiate a multiplayer session by launching a command line, you can bypass all of the game screens and go directly to the Multiplayer screen.

To use a command line to initiate a multiplayer session that you are hosting, click Start, click Run, and then type the following in the Open box (or at the MS-DOS prompt):
monster.exe /h

To use a command line to initiate a multiplayer session in which you are joining an existing session, click Start, click Run, and then type the following in the Open box (or at the MS-DOS prompt):
monster.exe /j:NNN.NNN.NNN.NN (replace Ns with the Internet protocol (IP) address of the host you want to join)

IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY: This Microsoft End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Microsoft Corporation for the Microsoft software product identified above, which includes computer software and may include associated media, printed materials, and "online" or electronic documentation ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT"). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not install or use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT; you may, however, return it to your place of purchase for a full refund.

SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE
The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed, not sold.

1. GRANT OF LICENSE. This EULA grants you the following rights:

- Installation and Use. You may install and use an unlimited number of copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

You may reproduce and distribute an unlimited number of copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT; provided that each copy shall be a true and complete copy, including all copyright and trademark notices, and shall be accompanied by a copy of this EULA. Copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be distributed as a standalone product or included with your own product.

2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.

- Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

- Separation of Components. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed as a single product. Its component parts may not be separated for use on more than one computer.

- Software Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this EULA, provided the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA.

- Termination. Without prejudice to any other rights, Microsoft may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of this EULA. In such event, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT and all of its component parts.

3. COPYRIGHT. All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (including but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music, text, and "applets" incorporated into the SOFTWARE PRODUCT), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT are owned by Microsoft or its suppliers. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE PRODUCT like any other copyrighted material except that you may install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on a single computer provided you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes.

4. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial Computer Software-Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as applicable. MISCELLANEOUS

If you acquired this product in the United States, this EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
If you acquired this product in Canada, this EULA is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Each of the parties hereto irrevocably attorns to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario and further agrees to commence any litigation which may arise hereunder in the courts located in the Judicial District of York, Province of Ontario.
If this product was acquired outside the United States, then local law may apply.
