Step By Step DX11 HD Textures Workaround

For those crashing with DX11, I believe I may have a procedure to avoid this and enjoy textures at Dx11. Its worked for me in over a dozen tests, but can't promise it'll work for you. If you really want to at least "try" and use the HD Textures, then give these a shot.
You MUST follow every step:
Step 1: set uplay in offline mode, and restart it
Step 2: in gamerprofile.xml set "useD3D11=0"
Step 3: make xml "read only" under properties (this will force the dx9.exe the next time
uplay launched)
Step 4: close uplay again, and relaunch in offline mode
Step 5: launch game, then exit game but not uplay.
!!!IMPORTANT!! Don't close uplay!
Step 6 de select "read only" on gamerprofile.xml
Step 7: go back into gamerprofile.xml and set "useD3D11=1"
Step 8: set xml to "read only" again
Step 9: Play!!!
(you'll see in the ingame video section, dx11 is enabled with all options avail)

Figured this out when i restarted my computer, thus restarting uplay. Since xml was set to useD3D11=1, uplay used dx11.exe to launch and so it crashed. After doing these steps, I'm crash free again


If this doesn't work, you'll need to play in dx9 if you want the textures. Honestly, its difficult to make a strong argument to use dx11 over dx9 in FC3. (kind of an exceptional to the rule, IMO)
