Savegames: Place the .ess savegames in your 'saves' folder, found in your skyrim user folder. This is probably located at C:UsersUsernameDocumentsMy GamesSkyrim. If you like to change hairtype, name or colours, use 'showracemenu' in the developer console. Note that this will reset most of the colours (except for hair). If you notice your haircolour changing you need to make sure that the Extended Colors plugin is near the end (or at the end) of your load order. Also, upon loading you will probably get a message that you're missing content. You can ignore this message, it just means I had some plugins activated you don't have. Nothing to worry about.

Companions: The latest version of the Mod Manager is compatible with Skyrim's new load order system, but you still need to manually make sure that this mod is loaded correctly. I strongly suggest you use the Nexus Mod Manager to install the companions. If you're not using a manager you probably know what you're doing... just extract the files into the Skyrim / Data folder. Make sure you check BOTH .esm and .esp. Also, when updating I'd recommend deleting the old version, resaving your game without the plugin (make sure your precious things are not in the follower's inventory or in the Hawk's Nest's containers) and then activate the new version. Also make sure to place UFO mod at the very end of your load order and my mod just above it.
