1980 Naissance d’un mythe : Sierra On-Line (1982-1998)
A la fin des années 1970, Ken et Roberta Williams découvrent Adventure sur Apple II. Roberta qui ne trouve rien d’équivalent sur le marché décide alors de concevoir son propre jeu vidéo mais les jeux d’aventures textuelles ne la satisfaisant pas, elle imagine d’intégrer des images. Elle crée alors Mystery House, catalogué comme le premier jeu d’aventure graphique.

Le succès rencontré par ce jeu est tel qu’en 1980, les Williams fondent On-Line Systems qui deviendra en 1982, Sierra On-Line.
